With the rapid development of virtual reality technology and deep learning algorithm, their application potential in all walks of life has been gradually explored, especially in the field of landscape design, the combination of the two provides a new opportunity for the improvement of design methods and effects. Plant landscape design as an important part of the landscape, its visual effects and design quality directly affect people’s environmental perception and experience. This paper analyses the basic characteristics of virtual reality technology and its advantages in design, introduces the role of deep learning in visual evaluation of plant landscape, and puts forward some application methods in design. The research results of this article are only preliminary attempts, and we hope to provide more comprehensive and scientific theoretical and practical guidance for the field of plant landscape design through more practice and research.
