By improving children’s comprehension of station literacy, navigation, public transportation ethics, and safety, the Navi_Station project is a creative effort to reclaim children’s space on public transit. The project offers interactive and captivating learning experiences created especially for preschoolers and kids with special needs using an eduplay teaching toolkit. Understanding the value of early exposure to public transportation, this program promotes self-reliance, self-assurance, and inclusivity at an early age. Under the direction of Dr. Eng Widyarini, the project successfully developed a mockup teaching toolkit in 2022 as part of the Short Course on Public Transport in Metropolitan Areas, which sets the stage for future growth. The goal of Navi_Station is to raise awareness of accessibility and safety by incorporating public transportation education into Indonesian schools. In order to improve learning experiences for kids with varying abilities, the project is currently moving forward with the creation of a disability-inclusive toolkit that includes a multisensory book. The Navi_Station project aims to develop a more kid-friendly, accessible, and secure public transportation system for coming generations by focusing on universal design and inclusive mobility. The initiative is related to SDGs 4 and 11.
