The “Forum of Expertise” is a cutting-edge community center that is part of the Ramallah Municipality’s initiative to promote well-being and active aging in an urban setting. By improving their quality of life, building resilience, and advancing general well-being, this program aims to improve the lives of senior men and women. The Forum of Expertise addresses social isolation and economic vulnerabilities while fostering an inclusive environment that enables older adults to continue being engaged members of society. A cross-generational platform that promotes mentorship and knowledge sharing; a structured voluntary engagement channel that allows older people to make significant contributions to community development; a focused capacity-building program that aims to improve skills and opportunities for lifelong learning; and a holistic well-being framework that takes into account physical, mental, and social health are the initiative’s four main programs. Together, these elements create a vibrant atmosphere that supports the well-being of senior citizens. In addition, the Forum of Expertise supports neighborhood-based programs that promote mental, social, and psychological health, enhancing intergenerational relationships and creating a strong sense of community. The initiative builds a sustainable model that benefits all facets of society by emphasizing inclusivity and making sure that the needs of vulnerable and marginalized groups are met. This strengthens social cohesion and long-term community resilience. The initiative is related to SDGs 3 and 10.
