The conventional hot water backwashing method is mainly used for wax removal in oil wells. The cost of wax removal is high, and the hot washing solution is easy to enter the formation, causing oil layer pollution, resulting in a long recovery period of oil production after hot washing, which affects crude oil production. Especially for oil wells with a daily production of less than 5 m3 in the formation, wax removal is difficult during hot washing, resulting in shot hot washing cycles and poor hot washing effects. A self powered steam automatic hot washing oil well online wax removal device has been developed, mainly consisting of four parts: oil well associated gas separation device, oil well associated gas oil removal device, heating steam device, and online monitoring wax removal system. It uses the self-produced liquid and oil well associated gas from the water source well as the cleaning fluid and energy for oil well hot washing, achieving the goals of energy conservation, wax removal, oil layer protection, and safe production. This device has the characteristics of easy mobility, high degree of automation, and simple operation. In 2023, it was hot washed more than 100 times in the Third Oil Production Plant of Changqing Oilfield, and can quickly complete the wax removal of the oil well tubing being washed. It effectively alleviates the problem of hot washing oil wells in high associated gas and high wax blocks, does not pollute the formation, and improves lifting efficiency. At the same time, using the monitoring terminal RTU to upload data to the digital platform of oilfield production, a reasonable self powered hot washing plan was formulated, which improved the level of oilfield production management and adapted to the development of the oilfield.
