Since the enormous energy demand unavoidably exacerbates the depletion of non-renewable resources and ecological and social problems, renewable energy has emerged as a key component of a sustainable approach. In order to develop a circular bioeconomy that focuses on the effective and sustainable valorization of biomass and encourages resource regeneration and restoration, biorefinery emerged as a sustainable strategy and recognised viable transformation platforms for products. Using various conversion technologies, biorefinery is a sustainable process for producing biofuels and other bio-products from biomass feedstock. A key element of renewable energy sources that helps to create a carbon–neutral energy system is biofuel. By 2023, according to studies, over 90% of petroleum products might be generated globally from renewable resources, along with 33% of chemicals and 50% of the pharmaceutical sector. The latest research includes combining numerous unit processes to create a variety of bio-based products, including biochemical, thermochemical, physical, and catalytic conversion. This chapter will discuss about the strategies of biorefinery integration to produce biofuels and value-added products.

摘要
