Human Factor and Behavioral Computing

Human factor engineering is the study of the interaction between humans and systems or equipment, aiming to improve work security and safety, and efficiency. However, in practical applications, human factor engineering often presents security and safety issues. For example, a work environment that does not conform to ergonomic principles may lead to employee fatigue or injury, and overly complex operating interfaces can increase the risk of errors. Additionally, employees’ physiological and psychological factors are often insufficiently considered, which may affect decision-making and reaction times. Therefore, human factor security and safety issues arising from human factor engineering have become crucial for improving overall security, safety and efficiency. The core of human factor security and safety lies in the in-depth understanding and analysis of human behavior. Behavioral computing technology employs advanced behavioral modeling and simulation techniques to systematically study the behavioral characteristics of individuals and groups, thereby providing robust technical support for addressing human factor security and safety issues. These technologies not only capture and analyze complex behavioral patterns but also predict potential safety risks, thereby offering a foundation for developing effective safety strategies and intervention measures.
