The continuous generation of waste materials, including electronics waste, plastic, and biomass waste, poses significant environmental challenges. While some of these wastes are repurposed for energy or chemical feedstock, improper disposal leads to pollution. Pyrolysis is a crucial thermochemical conversion method that transforms biomass into valuable products like heat, electricity, fuels, and chemicals. Among pyrolysis methods, microwave-assisted pyrolysis (MAP) stands out for its enhanced reaction efficiency and energy savings due to superior heat transfer profiles. This article presents microwave applicators operating at 2.45 GHz, which are capable of achieving near-uniform and efficient pyrolysis of various waste materials, transforming them into value-added products.

摘要
