Cuprate Superconductors: An Overview
摘要
An overview of the state of high-temperature superconductivity research is given in this review article, with an emphasis on cuprate superconductors specifically. The article examines the several families of cuprate superconductors, such as the compounds based on Bi, and Tl, as well as the superconductors based on Hg. Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), an experimental method and theoretical framework used to explore these materials, is also covered in detail. The article also explores high- \(T_c\) superconductors’ possible technical uses, including in power transmission, motors and generators, also, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The final section of the paper discusses the field’s unsolved problems, including the need for more effective and scalable manufacturing techniques and the quest for novel materials with even greater \(T_c\) .
