The previous analysis shows that under the background of evolving environmental problems and the development of environmental governance, an important social trend in contemporary China is to move toward a green society. This chapter aims to analyze how social development in China since the beginning of Reform and Opening-up has incorporated environmental factors and gradually moved toward a green society.
