The pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal Number 7 (SDG 7), which aims to provide access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for everyone, calls for a concentrated effort on energy-efficient systems, particularly in low-income housing. This research explores the adoption of cost-effective, energy-efficient technologies and practices specifically designed for low-income households to minimize energy consumption, lower utility bills, and enhance living standards. Key strategies include economical insulation solutions, efficient heating and cooling systems, the integration of renewable energy, and the application of smart home technologies. The study confronts the economic and technical barriers faced by low-income families and emphasizes the necessity of supportive policy frameworks and community participation. Through the examination of successful case studies and practical implementations, the research highlights the considerable socio-economic and environmental benefits associated with energy-efficient systems. The results suggest that achieving SDG 7 requires a multifaceted strategy that combines technological innovation, policy support, and active community involvement to ensure that no individual is excluded from the transition to sustainable energy. In this chapter, a genetic algorithm (GA) technique will be utilized to optimize energy integration for cost efficiency.

摘要
