For various reasons, the paradigm has shifted from an offline to an online education system. The online education system introduced flexible hybrid formats that can easily be incorporated and implemented. In the present context, a lot of research work is now going on to improve online teaching performance improvement. The present study aims to address the challenges reported by various researchers regarding the efficiency and efficacy of online teaching modes. Also, the research study includes an attempt to rank the factors using total interpretive structural modeling (TISM) based on their impacts on online education mode performance. The present work aims to reveal the factors associated with the online teaching–learning modules among the users, whether an institution or an individual. The outcomes of the study briefed about the factors and how they can impact the performance of an online education system.
