The high plasticity and water absorption characteristics of clayey soil have made this soil category as problematic soil for geotechnical applications. To enhance the performance of clayey soil, the most effective and economical methods adopted are by addition stabilizing agents. Out of various stabilizing agents the present study has considered rice husk ash (RHA) for soil stabilization analysis. Rice husk ash (RHA) is a pozzolanic material which is readily available in the market can be used as a soil stabilizing agent in various Ground Improvement Techniques. 17–25% of rice husk weight remains as ash when burnt under ambient temperature for laboratory purposes. Based on the experimental observation, the soil stabilized with rice husk has exhibited a substantial change in its characteristics.
