The Impacts and Implications of China’s “Belt & Road” Initiative on China’s International Investment Law Practice
摘要
The “Belt & Road” Initiative (BRI) and the resulted change of China’s outward foreign investment structure have great impacts on China’s outward foreign investment law and policy including on both the national level and international level, as well as China’s attitude toward investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS). Moreover, China is trying to innovate its own ISDS to respond to the problems it faces in the BRI practice and to respond to the ISDS reform in the international community. Lastly, the BRI has significance and implications for Sino-African investment relations.
