Research and Testing of Drilling Fluid Mud Cake Modifier
摘要
During the later stage of drilling and completion of the shale oil shallow secondary horizontal well in Jilin Oilfield, due to the high mud content in the formation and the long open hole section, the quality of the mud cake is poor. The weak interface in cementing is easily caused by mud cake with layered structure and poor solidification. Once a weak interface is formed, it not only affects the effectiveness of fracturing and stratified injection-production measures, but also may bring safety and environmental protection problems. In order to improve the bonding quality of the cementing interface, a new type of mud cake modifier has been developed, which was composed of polyacrylate, foam alkali, silicate mineral whiskers, and polypropylene powder. It has been determined that the reasonable mass percentage addition in polymer drilling fluid is 0.7%, and the suitable temperature range for use is 45–95 ℃. Analyzed the mechanism of its thinning, strengthening, and toughening effects on mud cake. By applying it to drilling fluids in Jilin Oilfield, the effect of reducing mud cake thickness, significantly improving strength and toughness was achieved. The simulated cementing interface bonding strength increased to more than 6.3 times the original, and the cementing quality logging results showed that the bonding quality of the interface increased by more than 12%. This provides excellent wellbore conditions for ensuring the effectiveness of oil well fracturing measures and safe production, and provides technical support for meeting the red line requirements of cementing quality of PetroChina Company.
