Terahertz (THz) photons have been shown to change the gene expression in various cells via altering transcription factor binding or chromatin accessibility, but little is known about whether THz photons have similar effect on melanoma. Here, we found the 34.5THz photons inhibit B16F10 cell growth by approximately 20%. Moreover, the gene expression changes of B16F10 cells after THz exposure are analyzed using differentially expressed genes analysis. GO enrich analysis showed that 34.5THz exposure on B16F10 cells affect the transcription and DNA-templated process, histone acetyltransferase activity, anion and growth factor binding, nuclear lumen and nuclear body. These reflect 34.5THz photons maybe inhibit melanoma cell growth by regulating gene expression.
