Terahertz in Biomedicine Applications
摘要
This paper reviews the recent advancements in terahertz (THz) technology, particularly in biomedical imaging and clinical applications. Terahertz waves, spanning frequencies from 0.1 THz to 10 THz, exhibit unique interactions with biological tissues, particularly due to their sensitivity to water content. Despite promising developments in protein detection, DNA analysis, and cancer diagnostics, significant challenges remain, including limited tissue penetration, water absorption, and the need for higher resolution in THz imaging systems. This review discusses the potential of THz technology in medical diagnostics and treatments while highlighting the need for further research to overcome existing limitations.
