Diabetes mellitus is an irreversible metabolic disorder that affects millions of people. There is an utmost need for a proper prognosis to plan an individualized treatment in those patients. Herein, the authors present an innovative idea wherein the use of machine learning along with generative AI is proposed to predict the progression and complications in diabetes patients. Using a large dataset that includes clinical features, genetic markers, and lifestyle factors, we have trained models to predict disease outcomes and treatment responses. We use Generative AI to generate synthetic data that boosts the robustness of the model and generalization. Our method results in more accuracy in predicting the prognosis of patients compared with traditional techniques. It is the advancement in precision medicine that merges machine learning with Gen-AI towards identifying high-risk patients and tailoring diabetes care.
