Supportive Care, Quality of Life, and Survivorship Aspects among Pediatrics Cancer Patients
摘要
As advancements in pediatric oncology continue to improve survival rates among children diagnosed with cancer, the focus has broadened beyond the acute phase of treatment to encompass long-term survivorship. This paradigm shift underscores the importance of comprehensive supportive care and prioritizing the quality of life for pediatric cancer survivors. Supportive care initiatives aim to address the unique needs and challenges faced by pediatric cancer survivors, spanning from managing treatment-related side effects to mitigating long-term health complications. Quality of life emerges as a central theme, emphasizing the importance of psychosocial support, educational and vocational guidance, and strategies to promote physical and emotional well-being. There is need for continued research, advocacy, and patient-centered approaches to empower pediatric cancer survivors on their journey toward long-term health and well-being.
