Anaesthesia in Paediatric Radiation
摘要
Paediatric population undergoing any type of medical or surgical procedure under anaesthesia requires constant vigilance and special attention due to various factors such as physiological and anatomical differences between paediatric airway compared to that of adults. These differences are important for the anaesthetist to make a safe and effective anaesthesia plan. Paediatric patients also have anxiety, fear of strangers, aversion towards new environment, fear of syringes, and concerns about procedural pain which makes them more vulnerable for procedural complications [1, 2].
