Thread Lifting Techniques
摘要
Thread lifting is considered one of the most invasive procedures among minimally invasive techniques. This indicates that patients desire more noticeable effects, which can be a burden for the physician. While many literatures report effective thread lifting techniques, it is often challenging to select a standard procedure. One of the main reasons for this difficulty is that most studies are based on clinical experiences, making it hard to exclude the subjective perceptions of the practitioners. There needs to be a more fundamental consideration and analysis in designing an effective thread lifting method. Additionally, understanding the limitations and finding the meaning and effects of thread lifting for each patient is essential for performing a more sophisticated thread lifting procedure. In other words, thread lifting is a procedure that inevitably yields varying results depending on the physician’s skills, the patient’s condition, and the advantages and disadvantages of the threads used. This chapter will outline the general knowledge necessary for thread lifting procedures and emphasize that physicians should have their own methods tailored to individual patients among the various techniques described.
