This chapter provides a structured analysis of US-Japan-Australia-India strategic minilateralism through the Quad. It applies the analytical framework from Chapter 4 of this book to assess its strengths and weaknesses through a traversal of its design, functions, and solvency features. It reveals the amorphous nature of quadrilateral cooperation, its normative (soft-balancing) emphasis, and the equivocal degree of the quadrilateral alignment.
