Organisational human factors can work strategically with design and design thinking, which is of paramount interest to modern-day businesses. The research inquiry includes a concern for how to integrate design with other business functions to bring transformational change to an organisation. Strategic design is helping to identify the latent areas that need interventions and provides guidelines to resolve those. This paper is documenting an action research project in the form of a case study. Essentially, the paper is mapping the organisation health through various parameters. Based on the field research, observations suggest explicit design intervention to streamline the purchase order generation process, to fill the communication process gap for a better work environment and to address the issue of high attrition rate. At a strategic level, it proposes to build motivation amongst the employees and leadership to look at the organisation as a living ecosystem.
