A Flexible Chipless RFID Tag for Sensor Applications
摘要
Radio frequency identification (RFID) chipless technology is a new area that offers interesting uses for sensing several characteristics without using a traditional silicon chip. The field of automatic object identification and condition monitoring could be completely transformed by the capabilities of the RFID sensor. This work proposes a tag that combines resonators shaped like octagonal with a split ring. The 0.75 mm-thick Roger 3003 substrate ((εr) = 3, tan δ = 0.0013) used for the tag’s modeling has frequencies ranging from 1.77 to 5.05 GHz and has good bending properties making it useful for sensor and IOT applications. CST software is used to simulate the tag, and the outcomes are examined for ISM band applications.
