Use of Secant Pile in Simpang Joglo Underpass Project
摘要
To solve the problem of traffic flow complexity, some cities carry out road infrastructure development, such as underpasses. Surakarta City began to carry out an underpass, one of which is in Simpang Joglo. This study presents the design of the secant pile structure used in the Simpang Joglo underpass project, which is a location with a complex environment. Some geotechnical work was carried out to assess the condition of the soil. The site was generally overlain with fill material of 1.5 depth covered with gravel rock with sand. Below the fill, 1.5 M—25 M, a silty sand and sand material, and 25 M—40 M, a sand material of variable densities. Groundwater table was encountered at a depth of−0.30 M to−3.00 M below ground level. According to this study, the secant piles wall proposal is suitable as an alternative for deep retaining walls within granular silty sand soil below the groundwater level.
