In recent decades, many studies have emphasized the influence of severe weather and disease outbreaks on changes in travel behavior. The COVID-19 outbreak, which has caused many deaths around the world, has had a significant impact on societal changes in health, the global economy, activity patterns, and choice of transportation modes. The decision to choose a mode of transportation is strongly influenced by people’s perceptions of the various types of transportation modes available in the surrounding environment. Public transportation is one of the many modes that offer a solution to the problem of traffic congestion in urban areas. This study aims to analyze the frequency of use of public transportation modes during COVID-19. Socio-demographic elements such as age, gender, and activity purpose on the mode choice, especially public transportation, were also considered in this study. The results of the study confirmed that the percentage of use of public transportation modes during COVID-19 was only 1.83%. This was because people wanted to avoid the COVID-19 virus.
