A novel rectangular monopole antenna with an open L slot is presented in this paper. This proposed antenna consists of an open L slot embedded in a rectangular radiating patch. For the proposed monopole antenna, the measured and simulated input return loss findings correlate fairly well. This antenna is operating satisfactorily in the frequency band of 2.4 GHz for use in Bluetooth and IoT applications.
