This research is based on the premise that promoting an inclusive work environment requires a combination of approaches, where individual strategies empower employees to confront discrimination, collective strategies foster solidarity and education and Human Talent Management strategies establish organizational policies and practices that support equality and diversity. So, this work identified what are the most effective individual, collective and Human Talent Management strategies to overcome discrimination in the work environment, specifically in the context of UNESUM, Ecuador. UNESUM is the acronymic of Universidade Estatal del Sur de Manabí, a regional university located at the coast of Ecuador, in Latin America. Through a mixed methodological approach, a questionnaire and interviews were carried out with personal at university and the results reveal that although some strategies have been successful, there are some opportunities for improvement. Diversity training and education strategies have proven effective in raising awareness, but more coherent implementation and follow-up are needed.
