The chapter presents a detailed categorization and explanation of the input data required to launch the aircraft design process. In addition, the chapter offers the reader an algorithm for sizing and laying out an aircraft at the conceptual design stage. Finally, in this chapter, the reader will find an example of a three-view drawing of a commercial airplane.
