The prototype of the 14th-century Al-Tusi’s World Map (Fig. 1) can be traced back to the 12th-century Al-Idrisi’s World Map (ca.1154, Fig. 2; a copy made around 1553, currently held in the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford).
