The suction anchor is an increasingly used offshore foundation for the floating structures, while the relevant studies on the scenarios with torsional load and anti-torsion solutions appear quite meagre. Therefore, this paper reports numerical investigations into the pull-out capacity of novel finned suction anchors in sand considering torsional effect. The advanced SIMSAND soil model is adopted for the sand constitutive behavior. A comprehensive parametric study is conducted to examine the influence of padeye position, fin number and fin width. These findings may provide insights in research and engineering practice for suction anchors encountering torsional load issues.

摘要
