Lignocellulosic residues represent a potential source of renewable and economic cellulosic fibers for the production of high value-added biomaterials. In this chapter, we present various news related to agricultural and marine wastes. Special attention is given to the plant Posidonia Oceanica, the almond tree (Prunus amygdalus L.) and the fig stem (Ficus carica L.). First, a detailed description of these materials is discussed in terms of their geographical distribution, botanical description and morphology, as well as the scope of their application. The description of the chemical composition of the materials has also been taken into account. Finally, an illustration of nanocelluloses and their terminological composition has been studied  using the selected materials as an example.
