Application of Saline Aquifer Seismic Identification Method of CCS in Eastern Junggar Basin
摘要
CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) is a key technology that promotes the goal of carbon emission peak and carbon neutrality actively and steadily. Carbon dioxide can be compressed, transported and injected into saline aquifer nearby so that it could be stored underground for a long time, which is a potential storage method of CCS technology. In early stage, the geophysical work mainly focused on exploration and development of oil and gas, has limited research on saline aquifer, and almost no application in carbon geological storage. Based on analysis of the formation water type, logging combination characteristics, and seismic sensitive response parameters of saline aquifer in eastern Junggar Basin, saline aquifer identification factor is constructed by different characteristics of geophysical parameters, such as p-s wave velocity ratio and seismic frequency of oil, gas and water. Therefore, quantitative identification of saline aquifer can be realized by combination prediction of pre-stack and post-stack inversion. The coincidence rate of blind well verification of this method is 80%. There is 1292 square kilometer storage geological body has been identified by this method in eastern Junggar Basin. Meanwhile, based on synthesis of multiple evaluation parameters of this method, a new approach has been achieved for identifying geological bodies of saline aquifers. It can solve the problem of previous prediction methods which is unable to effectively identify saline aquifers as well. There is important reference value and guiding significance for identifying geological bodies for onshore carbon dioxide storage.
