Analysing Poverty–Environment–Climate Change Nexus and Its Impact on Sustainable Development Goals Attainment
摘要
A good environment is a prerequisite for the health and wellbeing of all. Rapid urbanization and migration toward big cities have resulted in the formation of urban slum clusters, particularly in metropolitan areas. These clusters, emerging in unorganized settlements, bring about environmental and social problems. This study focuses on four slum clusters in Delhi, utilizing general surveys and complexometric data analysis to identify key poverty indicators. These indicators are further analyzed with respect to rising pollution levels, contributing to climate change. Our work highlights the integration of climate change action with poverty reduction strategies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by developing an application using artificial intelligence and engineering tools. The proposed app streamlines the real-time information and donation processes by means of AI, ensuring that the resources reach those in greatest need. It further enhances transparency by providing real-time updates on project progress, impact assessments, and financial reports.
