It then considers approaches that could enhance productivity and throughput, concentrating on process, equipment, and operational factors aimed at reducing idle time and increasing the rate of output. Also, this chapter deals with constant improvement practices that allow for increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and preserving the quality of the product of the sinter plants. Using these techniques, one can make the sinter plants operate in a way that maintains good quality coupled with good productivity, that is very good operability together with great sinter properties.
