Managing the extensive house rental market is a challenging task for authorities, mainly due to the numerous landlords, arbitrary fees, misleading rental details, and related complexities. To address these issues, this paper introduces a property transaction and rental system based on Blockchain and NFTs. The system utilizes smart contracts to represent various agreements, establish relationships among users, automatically pay and collect rent regularly, and return rental rights upon expiration. This system eliminates the need for mediation, reduces costs, ensures transparency in rental information, and simplifies record-keeping for authorities. In this paper, we present the system architecture based on a threat model and different requirements, discuss the implementation of a Proof-of-Concept, present the system use-cases and subsequent protocol flows. Finally, we analyze the defined security and functional requirements, the expected cost to use the system, and highlight the different advantages and disadvantages of the system.
