With the deepening of international cooperation in various fields and disciplines, interpreting plays an increasingly important role as a bridge for communication. The interpretation work in the specialized field requires a high level of professionalism and accuracy. Therefore, advance preparation becomes particularly critical, and traditional preparation methods have become inadequate to meet current needs. This study, by taking medical interpreting as an instance, aims to construct a knowledge graph-based advance preparation in medical interpreting from the perspective of the semantic network theory. Results of the study show that using knowledge graphs not only deepens interpreters’ cognitive depth of domain knowledge in a short timeframe, but also shortens their preparation time and enhance their understanding of professional vocabulary and concepts. In addition, this study provides practical technical support for interpreting practices and valuable experience and data support for subsequent research and application of related technologies.
