Environment Pollution Monitoring and Alert System

One of the most important challenges in modern metropolitan areas is sound and air pollution, which is rapidly increasing. Increased noise levels and the existence of airborne toxins directly affect human health and survival and are major contributors to the development of several complex diseases in the world. The growth of vehicles and factories demand for raw materials causes a significant amount of pollution. To sustain an optimal way of life and a better ecosystem, it has definitely become essential to monitor both air and sound pollution. So, in order to mitigate the harmful effects of pollution, we proposed this system. With the help of embedded sensors linked to the microprocessor, our proposed system can identify toxic gas constituents like CO, air quality, louder noise levels, and temperature. If a high level of contamination is detected then, this system indicates it through the speaker and sends the alert message along with the device location to the authorities to take necessary actions and precautions or to warn people about the sudden changes. We can continuously monitor the sound, gas, and temperature levels on the LCD display and also check these values in our phones through a specialized application built for this purpose. We can act promptly according to real-time monitoring. This device(system) can be placed in different locations in a respective area to track the level of harmful gases in the atmosphere as well as noise pollution. The proposed system helps to record and collect the data of air quality, temperature, CO, and sound and store it in the app for further analysis.
