This chapter summarizes the role of emerging technologies in healthcare, particularly in how ICT, blockchain, IoT, cloud, and AI are reshaping the way healthcare is delivered and managed. These technologies help overcome inefficiencies from the past and enable real-time, data-driven, and patient-centric healthcare systems. However, this chapter also highlights the new challenges posed by these technologies, particularly regarding data privacy, ethical AI use, and equitable access.
