Two activities are described in this chapter. The first is an introduction to understanding privilege, while the second seeks to build upon this by supporting students to understand the application of intersectionality. The activities encourage students to identify their own multiple and overlapping identity locations and the influence these have on their unconscious biases. Through these activities, students will learn to check their assumptions and to think critically in their personal and professional lives.

摘要

Two activities are described in this chapter. The first is an introduction to understanding privilege, while the second seeks to build upon this by supporting students to understand the application of intersectionality. The activities encourage students to identify their own multiple and overlapping identity locations and the influence these have on their unconscious biases. Through these activities, students will learn to check their assumptions and to think critically in their personal and professional lives.
