This chapter provides tutors with a detailed overview of the Community Focused Learning (CFL) Living Lab model, presenting its potential to transform teaching practice, strengthen students’ understanding of evidence-based practice processes and foster real-world connections between universities, the community and industry partners and students. Through a CFL structured group facilitation process and a model of evidence-based practice for social work, students collaborated intensively through group work, research and critical reflection to develop research-informed service models that benefitted a community organisation. This hands-on learning experience, which culminated in the delivery of a community-focused project, exemplifies integrating theory into practice, professional socialisation, and critically disruptive social work education.

摘要
