The Impact of Digital Visual Communication on Attention in Individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders
摘要
This investigation of the impact of visual communication on attention examines individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, set in a broad background involving art, design, and technology. As these three fields continue to combine their roots, discover. In order to tap the creative potential of this dynamic intersection, visual design and its influence on attention in individuals with executive dysfunction must be understood. A broad range of individuals with executive dysfunction are recruited to participate in the experiment exploring visually communicated information, art associations, attention, and this kind of technology. Two types of pictures, according to artistic and design principles, are displayed on video screens in front of the subjects—one set is principally plain line drawings, while others feature colour, composition, typography and advanced technology. Using the eye tracking technology and subjective feelings as well as the cognitive load of the participants themselves, attentional processes are investigated. This investigation yields new insights into the impact of visual communication on attention in individuals with executive dysfunction. By understanding the subtleties of visual design and its impact on attention in people who have executive dysfunction, artists, designers, and technology developers are able to create immersive environments that captivate individuals with these creative spheres—just begging for engagement. By so doing, we may help keep them better controlled and more effectively attuned to life’s pleasures.
