This chapter focuses on the role of total capital and mixed embeddedness play in the establishment and growth of Chinese migrant entrepreneurs in Australia. It first crucially explores how Chinese entrepreneurs integrate various forms of their capital—social, cultural and economic—into their adaptation, growth and eventual success in the Australian society and economy from the total capital perspective. Then it examines how they embed their ventures into both social and institutional context—or ‘mixed embeddedness’—in order to be survival, growing and successful. This chapter also provides an insightful discussion on the role of the total capital mixed embeddedness, and their inter-connections, linking them effectively to the experiences of these millionaire migrants. It highlights the transformation of capital into embeddedness, depicting their economic and social integration in a foreign land.
