This chapter describes and illustrates materials and strategies that I have used in learning and teaching (Tehrān Fārsi) Persian grammar in Iranian and American settings. The learning strategies relate to my personal experience as a college-educated adult learning Persian grammar, while the teaching strategies relate to my experience in teaching Persian grammar to non-Iranian-heritage American and Iranian-American undergraduate and graduate university students and so-called civilian and military “Farsi linguists” in American government employ.
