The purpose of this paper is to understand the mechanism by which perceived family support affects women’s aspects of financial wellbeing and financial resilience, with an emphasis on financial autonomy. In other words, through exploring family support and financial autonomy, the study seeks to get rid of the mystery concerning how the support from the family and the financial resource can help the women achieve financial resilience. The study further underscores perceived support from family as a significant factor that promotes financial autonomy a factor that is likely to improve the financial status of women and their ability to withstand adverse economic situations. This research has extensive understanding on how supportive environments from the families can enable women to be economically and financially secure in the future.
