Ayurveda, a traditional Indian system of medicine, is gaining increasing popularity, particularly for its effectiveness in treating chronic conditions. Typically, patients start conventional medications immediately after diagnosis, with Ayurvedic treatments often being used in conjunction with or following these conventional approaches. The genus Bidens, which includes a large number of medicinal plants, is well known for its role in ethnomedicine and is integral to the Indian system of medicine, Ayurveda. This study aims to document the Bidens species utilized in Ayurveda, along with their vernacular names and traditional uses. A total of five species within the Bidens genus, belonging to the Asteraceae family, have been documented. This work will serve as a valuable resource for students and researchers, providing easy access to information on Ayurvedic plant.
