The preceding chapter concluded the necessity of prioritising micro-enterprises in rural India under secondary agriculture with a view to facilitating the farmers and the landless agricultural workers to don the new role as entrepreneurs. For this professional class of the country, such a transition is not easy. They need to be provided all the necessary support to step into the formal world of farm-linked entrepreneurship. This chapter addresses the gamut of issues that would need to be taken care of and places before the readers the required framework in making a choice of enterprises and the basket of initiatives of the governments—centre and state—that is available to make one a successful micro-entrepreneur.
