Micro-enterprises in Rural India: Fulcrum of Secondary Agriculture: Philosophy and Ecosystem
摘要
Having argued for an expansive meaning and necessity of promoting secondary agriculture pivoted on agro-processing at various scales from the micro to the large scale in the preceding chapter, this chapter takes upon itself the task of delineating various issues to argue for micro-scale enterprises as a predominant approach to entrepreneurship in rural India, dominated by agricultural workers – land-holding cultivators and landless agricultural labours. In this context, this chapter discusses the philosophy of life that blend joy and work based on the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi and E. F. Schumacher. In support of this approach to secondary agriculture, various principles will be offered.
