Occupational health is considered as a vital contributor and believed to be one of crucial element to the success of industries. Special attention should be paid on designing the workplace for improving health and efficiency of workers. The current study was undertaken with the objective to identify and assess the occupational risk factors of printing press workers. The study comprised of a sample of 50 male workers engaged in printing press industries from at least last 2 years. An ‘Ergonomic Checklist for occupational health practice in industrially developing countries’ developed by IEA and ICOH was used for identification and assessment of risk factors in different sections of the identified printing press units viz. prepress, press, and post-press. The response of press workers was elicited on this checklist in order to know which particular aspects of the work place posed major risk factors in terms of priority for action. The results depicted that action for improvement was required in varied priority in the area of material storage and handling, work station, physical environment, and welfare facilities in all three sections of printing industries.
