Aiding Alzheimer’s Patients
摘要
Alzheimer’s disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, has a global impact on individuals and their caregivers. This paper explores the difficulties experienced by caregivers, encompassing both personal and monetary concerns, lack of support, and the need for respite care. It emphasises the crucial link between diagnosis and post-diagnostic services, highlighting the limited support systems in various regions. The research combines primary and secondary methods, uncovering the mobility issues, communication difficulties, and emotional strain caregivers experience. This paper proposes the potential for technological advancements in Alzheimer's post-diagnosis care, with wearable devices, remote monitoring, and multimodal interventions offering transformative possibilities, which also advocates for innovative solutions and increased awareness to enhance Alzheimer's care and elevate the living standards for patients and their guardians. A comprehensive approach, combining technology with emotional support, is vital in addressing this complex challenge.
