In the past, heritage mainly comprised tangible cultural sites, artefacts, and intangible knowledge. However, the concept of heritage has evolved with the advent of the digital age, now encompassing virtual representations and experiences. This paper presents a digital app-based solution that embraces this shift, aiming to revolutionise cultural exploration. By seamlessly blending virtual content with real-world environments, augmented reality offers immersive experiences that enhance cultural preservation and promote digital tourism. The proposed concept highlights the profound impact of Augmented Reality on engaging audiences, safeguarding artefacts, and preserving the diverse histories of cultures worldwide. The minimal viable concept centres around interactive heritage exploration and fostering cultural business growth. Integrating cutting-edge technologies such as spatial mapping and wearable devices further enriches the experience. The concept also utilises new-age technologies, e.g. spatial mapping and wearable devices. Adopting the double diamond design thinking methodology, this paper addresses the needs of travellers and local business owners to uncover valuable opportunities in cultural heritage exploration. This paper also serves as a call to action for organisations that need to humanise work environments, creating spaces that not only thrive in the modern world but also enrich the lives of those who inhabit them.

摘要
